And so it ends... The last of the 3 books in the Schasm series. Its the kind of book that you can't wait for it to end because you want to find out what happens, and then it ends, and your mind is just swirling with all of the information you just gathered, and then your sad. Why are you sad? Because the series is over!! Noooo!

What an amazing ending of this book, it really pulled all of the books together, and gave you the happy ending you were hoping for. Of course there were many twists and turns along the way, there were definitely moments were I wasn't sure it was going to have a happy ending. But, Shari Ryan came through.

She did it again, kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the whole book. This was not one of those predictable books, that you know what will happen from the beginning. I didn't even know what was going to happen when I got to the last chapter. There was excitement on ever page I turned.

I can't wait to read Shari's next book!

When Fully Fused is a New Adult, Romance written by Shari J. Ryan. I was gifted a copy from Jennifer Gilbert at Booktrope in exchange for an honest review.

5 Mind-Blowing, Fully Fused Stars!
A Compelling, Thrilling and Wonderful Conclusion to A Beautiful, Haunting and Enchanting Story!

The Review:
Absolutely Brilliant!! Wow, what a wonderful journey this series has been and with an ending like that, I'm in complete awe! Just an amazing read!

Story...
Chloe, Alex and their young son Sammy are trying to live as normal a life as they can, while existing fully inside their minds drift. Things are good for a while as Chloe and Alex experience the wonders of a life not available to them in the “real” world. They have a loving relationship and a beautiful son to occupy their days. Alex has a job he likes, Chloe is exploring the adoration of motherhood and Alex’s surrogate mom lives near them so they are one happy family. At least that’s what Alex and Chloe are pretending is their reality.

Quote Spotlight...
"This is kind of weird. Ya know, knowing?"
"It’s better than the alternative,"...

In truth, they have a mysterious band of aggressive men in grey suits following them from place to place, strange occurrences happening all around them, a mother who wants Chloe’s mind for her own purposes and an evil uncle threatening to take away everything they hold dear. Everyone’s goal? To obtain a locket Chloe has no idea how to retrieve. And the alarming thing is, if they get to the locket before Chloe, everything will crumble around them, literally. It all hinges on Chloe and Alex being one step ahead of the evil that seems to be lurking behind every corner.

And then tragedy strikes and the future looks bleak and you honestly don’t know how they will all come out in the end.

This story propels you into a world of chaotic mystery, thrilling adventure and confusing plot twists. And I loved every single minute of it. Chloe, Alex and Sammy’s lives are in constant upheaval and all Chloe wants is normality for her young son and her little family.

Everything seems to be working against them, including Chloe’s mind. Alex is keeping secrets and Sammy seems wise beyond his four years. There were twists and turns that were shocking, gripping and intense and then there were parts that were sweet, carefree and loving. I enjoyed the imaginative, creative writing of the world and the characters the author provides us with. Each one played a specific part and kept me entertained all the way through.

Characters...
When I first met Alex in book one, I wasn’t to sure how I felt about him. He seemed distant and you understood early on, he knew more than he was saying. But as the pages were turned, I grew to love and admire everything about him. This third book give us a much closer look into Alex’s mind in the form of a notebook, filled with his thoughts on his and Chloe’s first meetings, their journey to falling in love and the life they created together. This was one of the best parts of the book for me because I got to see him from a different perspective.

Chloe was confused and in denial a lot of the time but she was also strong and pushed past her insecurities and doubt. When she had to find a way to rescue her sanity and free her family from the dangers of her own mind, she stopped at nothing to get what they all needed. I loved her character.

Quote Spotlight...
... this entire world was concocted within the confines of my broken mind. I’m just not sure I understand the reasoning behind a secret that my mind must be keeping from my subconscious.

I loved the idea of drifting, living another life and experiencing all it’s puzzle pieces through taste, smell, touch, fear, love and excitement. To them, it was very real. It WAS their life. The mind is a wondrous thing that can conquer adversity and literally change your destiny if you’re so inclined. Chloe, Alex and Sammy got to experience this first hand.

And that ending! Wow! I felt I understood parts of where it was heading. All the clues were there for me to follow but when it all happened, I was pleasantly surprised with the powerful story that unfolded.

The Wrap Up:
When Fully Fused is an emotional, layered, multi-dimensional story that will keep you guessing until the very climactic end. This series is thrilling, mysterious, sometimes confusing (in a good way!) and certainly unexpected. This was just a fantastic read from beginning to end!

Holy cow! This book is another phenomenal book in this series! Shari delivers superbly in this last and final installment. You will be amazed, floored, shocked and much more while reading this book.

Alex and Chloe are still very much in love. They both love Sammy and enjoy being together. Yet, despite it all is all the running- constant running from everyone who are trying to get Chloe and that locket. Not only that but Chloe is starting to crumble in a sense. She wants to know why Alex won't tell her the truth on why he knows things but can't tell her... and she's starting to get truly upset with the constant trouble following them and the secrets Alex is keeping.

You will fall back in love with this fabulous couple! They are amazing together. You will feel for Chloe and sympathize with her and her pain. Everything she goes through is shocking and amazing.

Alex oh man! You will feel for this man as well. He loves his wife so much. Everything he does is for her love and safety. But he knows if he tells her the truth it won't go the way it's supposed too.... That has to be extremely hard to keep a secret from your love to protect you all in the end. You will be shocked, amazed and truly so in love with him in this last installment. He's one of a kind and truly loves his Chloe unconditionally.

Sammy... oh Sammy! I love him so much! I think he may be my favorite character! He's just amazing! That's all I will say! You will love him!

This final installment is phenomenal. You will see twists, turns, shocking events and more that will captivate you until the very end... and OMG! I am head over heals in love with the ending! It was brilliantly done! I had tears in my eyes!

I'm so sad to see this series end, but I know that I won't forget about this series anytime soon!!

WHEN FULLY FUSED is an EPIC ending to this series and the completion of Alex and Chloe's story!!!

5 stars from me!!!

When Fully Fused by Shari J Ryan
4 1/2 of 5 stars

This is our third and final visit with Alex and Chloe. If you haven't read the first two books in the series, this book will make no sense to you. Please go read Schasm and Fissure first, I promise this journey is worth it.

Alex and Chloe are together, raising their son Sammy. Alex has a job and Chloe stays home with Sammy, sounds simple right? Nothing is ever as it seems for these two, questions get answered and more questions get asked and in the end, after a breath taking ride, it’s all tied together beautifully.

It's hard to give a synopsis of this story without giving away a spoiler. Take the time to visit with the good and the evil and find out the truth.

I would recommend this series. It's perfect to take on vacation.

I loved Schasm. It was a crazy mind f*ck and it had me so captivated. In When Fully Fused, I found myself confused with a lot of holes in the storyline but convinced myself that they were holes in Chloe's mind. With more questions than answers, I powered through and pieces started to fit together. The ending was a surprise and although not how or when I would have liked to see things transpire, it was very creative and imaginative. The series as a whole was good solid story telling. I thoroughly enjoyed the story of Chloe and Alex, but was left needing a bit more in the present. I'll also add that they are some of the best book covers I've seen. 4 Stars!

You know those memes going around on Facebook where there's a photo of a cute girl reading with her coffee and it says something like, that awkward moment when you keep turning the pages of a book to look for more of the story but there is nothing there. The epic conclusion to the Schasm series, When Fully Fused, is like that. And it's not even because the ending was not satisfying or anything like that, but really just because you feel like you have lived a lifetime beside these characters, and you don't want it to end. You want to cry because it's over, and they're over, and what the hell are you going to read now.

This series is known as a romantic suspense, and, like it breaks from the YA and NA genres, I love that it defines that genre as well. So often romantic suspense focuses on the romance or the suspense and not enough of both, but When Fully Fused finds what I believe is the perfect balance. Chloe and Alex's romance is such a story of epic love, and it is defining for them, in a life they make up for themselves. Simultaneously, the events of this story is moving along at a very fast pace, such that you can't put it down, because nothing is what it seems. I don't feel like this is one of those books where many people would say I saw that coming from a mile away because there's just no way; the storyteller's deceit is mind-boggling. It is very suspenseful and shocking and the whole time you're just like holy shit. It's like an action movie for lovers of romance; the whole thing is just brilliant.

The ending is so classy in literature, and, while it gives you closure, it leaves these characters in your memory. They do touch you with their own world. It was a beautifully written series, and though I am sad that it is over, I commend Ryan for writing such an epically dramatic series of books that never lets you go.

When Fully Fused is like a favorite song. You just want to listen to it over and over again. But in this case I would love to read this trilogy again. This third and final book brings the story to a whole new level and ties everything together with an epic ending that I did not see coming. I could not put my kindle down, Chloe and Alex's story had me so drawn in. It's romantical and suspenseful with a bit of mystery tied in.

Chloe and Alex are living with their son Sammy in San Diego within their drift. Things are going really well but there is always someone waiting for them in the shadows. Franco and his men are still trying to get their hands on the mysterious locket. Alex has secrets of his own and little Sammy always seems to know that Chloe needs to follow what Alex says is best.

Throughout the story I found myself trying to figure out the answers to the same questions that Chloe had. I have to admit that I was confused of what was really going on and what was real and what was a drift. The confusion was a good thing though because by the end I was really surprised. There are many twists and turns throughout with one that I thought had changed the story and thought I knew the outcome. Well I was sure wrong, the last part of the book throws a major curve and the story comes full circle. Things are not always what they seem and this author did a fantastic job of making that happen within these three books. I loved how the locket and the picture came to be about at the end. When you read the book you will understand. I could go on and on but I don't want to give any spoilers away.

This is not a genre that I normally read but I am so happy that when I was asked to read the first book Schasm that I did. While this story was fun for me to read it really opened my eyes up to people with mental illness. I highly recommend reading this trilogy. I am looking forward to reading more from this amazing author in the future. This e-book was provided to me for review. This did not affect my review in any way.

4.5 stars for the individual book and 5 stars for the entire Schasm series!

We have finally reached the end of our journey with Chloe, Alex and their son, Sam with the third and final installment of the Schasm series, When Fully Fused. If you recall from my previous reviews, or if you have read Schasm or Fissure Free for yourselves, you will know that Chloe and Alex have an ability to "drift", meaning they can leave the real world behind and live in their dream world...together, where in the real world there are certain obstacles that are working to keep Chloe and Alex apart. As the reader progresses further into the story and thus into the minds of Chloe and Alex, we learn that Chloe has a choice. She has been a couple of options in how to deal with her circumstances and those trying to harm her, but each decision she makes seems to have both a positive and negative outcome. In addition, whatever choice she makes will not only affect her life, but the lives of Alex and Sam.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and definitely plan on revisiting them in a single reading rather than months apart with multiple books read in between. All questions have answers. Nothing is left hanging and this is something that makes me very happy. I have greatly enjoyed the characters even when I did, occasionally, want to smack Chloe. She just annoyed me at times. The scenes that took place in the drift verses those that took place in the real world were easy to follow. I was never confused as to if I was in Chloe's mind or if I was in her reality, which is a good thing because that could have easily gotten confusing.

So yes, I highly suggest this series and I hope that you will pop over and pick up all three books. They are definitely worth your time and money, in my highly caffeinated opinion.

When I read a series and I really enjoy it like this one, I get invested in the characters. I feel their pain, joy, confusion, fear and heartache. In this trilogy, I got to know and love Chloe and Alex. I followed their story and really watched it unfold and bloom. Their lives, their love and their worlds went on a collision course in the first book Schasm. They met and the truth slowly came to light. Then in the second book, Fissure Free, they began to move on. Even in their drift world, they were able to find happiness and deal with the traumas of their past. And now in When Fully Fused, the story comes to an end. I have to admit, when I read this book I was so angry about what the author did to Alex. Like Chloe, the reader is left in the dark and must piece together the clues. Maybe I’m not that bright or maybe I just wasn’t ready to accept the reality of Chloe’s story, but that ending really threw me for a loop!! I totally wasn’t expecting that, but it was fantastic!!
Like the first two books, I thoroughly enjoyed When Fissure Free. It is filled with the same wonder and magic of the first two books. Chloe and Alex really grow as they have to deal with what has become their reality. And their world (though fabricated in their minds) is one rich with wonder and hope. If you love fantasy and romance with some suspense thrown in, then you’ll really enjoy this trilogy! I give When Fully Fused 5 stars! What a great way to end the series.

When Fully Fused is the third and final book in the the Schasm series by Shari J. Ryan. In this amazingly epic last dance we find Alex and Chloe still together and raising their son Sammy.

All Chloe wants is a simple, ordinary life to raise her son in. But is that even possible with all of the unanswered questions and the men that are still after Chloe and the locket? It seems that everyone wants and needs that locket.

But Chloe still doesn’t have a clue how to obtain the locket. And if and when she does, will it change everything?

The love between Chloe and Alex continues and expands, if that was even possible, with their son Sammy. Chloe tore my heart out with the pain she feels for the life she craves.

I fell more in love with Alex in this book – he moved my heart and made me question his intentions and reasons, and in the end I understood more completely. And Sammy works his way directly into your heart.

The entire series has a very adult, psychotic Alice in Wonderlandesque feel to it. Each drift a rabbit hole. Each character slightly mad. The concept ground breaking – unlike anything I have ever read before. And the ending was absolutely NOT what I was expecting and could not have been more beautiful. This book left you questioning reality from dreams. Life from drifts. And how the mind sometimes blurs the two together.

Phew! What a trip this series was! I enjoyed it so much that I found myself not wanting to finish this book, knowing it was the last one in the series. I wasn't ready to part with Chloe and Alex, but I couldn't wait to find out what happened in the end and to hopefully learn what was real and what was not. Even now, weeks later, I find myself pondering the book and wondering about why certain things happened and why certain characters did certain things. I feel like I just need to do a character analysis on everyone in this series in order to truly understand everything. All that being said, the book is actually a light, fast read and allows you to escape to another world, and sometimes to Paris, with Chloe and Alex. Without adding spoilers, I will add that I loved how the author concluded the book. I hope to read more from Shari J. Ryan in the near future.

I received a free ecopy of this book for an honest review.

I fell in love with this series when I read the first book, Schasm. When Fully Fused is my favorite of the 3 books, probably because everything finally comes together, everything makes sense to both Chloe and the reader. Also, Shari J. Ryan has really grown as a writer.

The main characters, Chloe and Alex, are the perfect couple whether they’re best friends, partners, or parents. Poor Chloe is often confused about what is happening around her but she always, eventually, figures things out. Alex and their son, Sammy, are both supportive and help Chloe through her rough times.

No spoilers, but I don’t think there could have been a better ending. I definitely recommend When Fully Fused but I also recommend reading the first 2 books, Schasm and Fissure Free, to enjoy this book to its fullest.

Chloe, Alex and their four-year-old son Sammy are being chased within their drift state by Franco and his thugs. They are all after Chloe's locket that she found in the Catacombs in Paris. Chloe would rather just give up the locket and live in peace in her drift state, but the locket contains something more powerful, something that could change their futures by resetting the past. Alex and Sammy seem to know more about the powers of the locket than Chloe does, and they keep hinting at a tragedy that must happen in order for their lives to move forward.

This was a great wrap-up to the series and by-far the most suspenseful. The mystery of the locket combined with the constant chasing by Franco's men made When Fully Fused a great thriller, I just had to know what was in that locket! Along with the many twists and turns provided by Alex and Sammy's ability to drift into the future and the reappearance of Chloe's parents, I was kept on the edge of my seat. I also loved that Chloe and Alex are in a very mature part of their relationship now, and the love they show each other is extremely sweet. The ending is terrific and mind-blowingly unique, I'm so glad that everything worked out for them, even if it will take a few years to get there!

When Fully Fused was such an awesome finish to this series. I loved it! I had no idea how the story would end and was shocked to realize everything I thought I knew I didn’t. I love it when a book tricks me like that. There was nothing cookie cutter about this series and book 3 is no exception. My brain needed a nap when I was done. Love love loved it.

Loved this series! Really makes you think because between the two "drifts" that's difficult enough then she introduces something else and its tough not to get confused. I had to re-read certain paragraphs over many times just to keep focused. Overall, it had my emotions all over the place from anxious, happy, nervous and crying (especially with Sammy towards the end). The way Alex protected and loved Chloe and their son, Sammy was so sweet. And Sammy....what a doll! The other thing I liked was how all the people from her drift(s) state(s) came about in her real world with some changes that I was pleasantly surprised, like her mom and dad. That was cool. Anyway, great read and one I'll more than once!

Genius. This was my favorite of the 3 books, things starting coming together and getting clearer....after it threw you for a loop yet again with more twists and turns! I love the reader acknowledgment at the end sharing how Shari came up with this story. It was absolutely perfect and better than I could have imagined!
